Maine is full of dining and lodging deals this winter for travelers with flexibility.

Businesses are slashing prices at hotels, restaurants, and breweries across the state for Winter Weekdays, a statewide program designed to boost midweek business during the winter season that runs from Jan. 5 to April 30.

Here’s how it works: participating restaurants, breweries, and hotels choose a day of the week — usually the slowest weekday for their business — and offer special promotions on that day. The deals are listed on the Winter Weekdays website.

Current food and beverage deals include a cheeseburger and fries with an Allagash White for $20 on Mondays at Dry Dock Portland; $4 for short pours and $6 for wine Monday through Thursday at Belleflower Brewing Company in Portland; $2 oysters and half price wine bottles at Back River Bistro on Wednesdays and Thursdays in Wiscasset; a $29 prime rib with a baked potato and side dish on Thursdays at Mel’s Hilltop Restaurant at Poland Spring Resort in Poland, and more.

For accommodations, travelers can get 15% off rooms at Blind Tiger Portland on Wednesdays; rates starting at $129 at the Longfellow Hotel in Portland during midweek stays; 15% off Lafayette’s Oceanfront Resort in Wells on Monday through Thursday; 25% off stays and a complimentary hot breakfast Monday through Thursday at Alouette Beach Resort in Old Orchard Beach; rooms for $69 plus tax on Tuesdays at Casco Bay Hotel in South Portland, and more.

“Winter Weekdays is about supporting Maine’s hospitality community when it matters most,” said Lynn Tillotson, president and CEO of Visit Portland, in a statement. “This program helps businesses generate midweek traffic, supports local jobs, and invites people to experience Maine’s food scene and communities all winter long.”

The program is an expansion of last year’s pilot program Winter Wednesday.

Winter Weekdays is presented by Visit Portland, with support from the Maine Office of Tourism and collaboration from HospitalityMaine, the Maine Tourism Association, and the Greater Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce.
