After missing the AFC Championship game with a knee injury, Patriots edge rusher Harold Landry told reporters that he anticipates playing in the Super Bowl on Sunday.

“We’ll see how the week goes but yeah, I would anticipate that,” Landry said.

Landry played in 15 of the Patriots’ 17 regular-season games. He missed the final two with an unspecified knee injury before returning for the Patriots’ first two playoff games.

Landry opened the season with 2.5 sacks against the Raiders in Week 1, and finished the regular-season with a team-high 8.5.

He has yet to record a sack oor a tackle for loss during the postseason. He has four total tackles in the two playoff games he was able to play in. He did not practice last week.

“It’s been a challenging season,” Landry said, per MassLive. “Just for me individually with the whole knee situation, being in and out of the lineup. And having to play through that.”

Patriots linebacker Robert Spillane has also been playing through injuries. He missed the final four games of the regular-season with a foot injury. He played in all three of New England’s postseason games. He suffered an ankle injury during the AFC championship game.

He said that he is planning to play in the Super Bowl.

“I’m doing what I need to do,” Spillane said. “We have a plan scheduled for me to return to play. I’m just trying to do everything I can to make sure we’re right on it.”

After leading the Patriots in tackles during the regular-season with 97, Spillane has 14 tackles this postseason, which is fifth on the team.

He said that he was able to run around during practice on Monday.

“We’re on the right track,” he said. “We’re where we need to be and the goal is to obviously go out there and be dominant on Sunday.”

As of last Friday, the Patriots had both Landry and Spillane listed as questionable.
