The 25-year-old hospital employee was charged last month with sexually assaulting a child, according to police.

A nursing assistant at a New Hampshire hospital who was arrested last month for allegedly sexually assaulting a child is now facing several additional charges related to another child.

Alexander Colbath, 25, of Manchester, N.H., has been charged with 12 counts each of manufacturing child sexual abuse images and possession of child sex abuse images, according to a Manchester police statement. Investigators allegedly found numerous offending images and videos on his cell phone.

Colbath was previously arrested Dec. 5, 2025 and charged with aggravated felonious sexual assault following a report made to Manchester police that he had assaulted a child being treated at the hospital he worked at. He was arraigned Dec. 8 in Manchester District Court, according to a police statement released that same day.

Earlier this month, police in Concord, N.H. arrested Colbath on charges which emerged from a separate investigation, according to a press release. Those charges include manufacturing child sexual abuse images, felonious sexual assault, violation of privacy, and endangering the welfare of a child to solicit sex.

Concord police began their investigation Sept. 7, 2025 when they spoke with a woman who reported concerns about Colbath, whom she said she had hired to babysit her children. The woman told officers that her children had relayed “concerning information” about him, according to police.

The children were interviewed at the Merrimack County Child Advocacy Center, where they “disclosed further information of concern,” police said. Colbath was arrested Jan. 8 after Concord police conducted searches and obtained additional evidence.

Manchester police transferred Colbath into Concord police custody for processing, and he was then taken to the Merrimack County House of Corrections, according to police. He was arraigned on the Concord charges Jan. 9.

Anyone with information about Colbath or the investigation is asked to call Manchester Police Detective Haley Metz at 603-792-5748.
