The Irish-American punk band from Quincy, Mass. joins other entertainers distancing themselves from the agency.

The Dropkick Murphys announced the band has parted ways with the Wasserman talent agency after the company’s founder, Casey Wasserman, was named in a newly released batch of files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The Quincy, Massachusetts-based band shared the announcement on Instagram.

“It saddens us to part ways with [our agents], but the namesake of the agency is in the Epstein files so…we GONE,” the band wrote.

Wasserman, 51, is an executive and sports agent whose firm represents more than 4,000 clients across sports and entertainment, including professional and Olympic athletes, musicians, and actors.

Although Wasserman has not been accused of any crimes or directly linked to Epstein, the files released by the Department of Justice in late January included emails exchanged between Wasserman and Ghislaine Maxwell, a longtime associate of Epstein who was convicted in 2021 of helping him sexually abuse teenage girls.

The emails dated back to 2003, years before Maxwell’s arrest and conviction. At the time, Wasserman was married with a young family, according to the New York Times.

The Dropkick Murphys are not alone in distancing themselves from the agency. Pop singer Chappell Roan announced Monday that she also left Wasserman.

“No artist, agent or employee should ever be expected to defend or overlook actions that conflict so deeply with our own moral values,” Roan wrote in an Instagram post announcing her departure.

Other entertainers, including country music artist Orville Peck and soccer star Abby Wambach, followed suit this week.

Meanwhile, Wasserman has faced calls to step down from his role as chair of LA28 Board of Directors, the committee responsible for planning the 2028 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.

However, the executive committee of the board said on Wednesday that Wasserman will continue to lead LA28, following a review the committee conducted of his past interactions with Epstein and Maxwell.
