Nadia Massih is pleased to welcome Renaud Douci, Field Coordinator for Solidarité Internationale in Tawila in Sudan, on the edges of Al-Fasher. It was “impossible to reach” during the brutal 500-day siege. Mr. Douci argues that Al-Fasher was not an unforeseen tragedy. “Everybody knew” the siege would end this way, and yet meaningful protection and access never arrived. Here, in Tawila, nearly a million are displaced, we see firsthand how war turns infrastructure into a weapon. The same dynamics of siege, displacement, and abuse are now moving into Kordofan. #declaration #Fasher #atrocities #039ridiculous #World #knew #didnt #anything0391770800799
