Name: Ava Fevrier
Age: 42
From: New York City

After spending 2 years on the couch after the birth of my son in 2019 and the Covid lock down in 2022, I set off to start building a base in road running as I had a strong desire to try running a marathon.

Born and raised in St. Lucia, coming from a challenging childhood, I always worked hard on my academics and did the same with my career, so there was no doubt that attitude and work ethic would show up in road running. I became a student of the sport, I started with a training program to build a base over a year, found a coach, trained, ran races, then found myself around the corner to complete the 6 world marathon majors.

In 2025, I started seriously thinking about completing the 6 stars in 2026 and was determined to get to Boston. Trying to obtain a BQ that has not come to fruition despite some efforts, my determination did not waiver and I did just as much work to be visible to a charity. I could not have asked for a better charity to entrust me with fundraising and offer me a bib for the 130th Boston Marathon.

I am running with the Lingzi Foundation and their message “Dream, Imagine” sits dear to my heart. Having big dreams as a child to overcome hardships and the work ethic that followed to do well in academics, my career, my relationships with family, friends, and my running community, have surpassed my imagination.

I now hold the St. Lucian female national record in the marathon distance and look forward to being the first female 6 star finisher in Boston. It is so monumental and nothing short of a dream. To dream of something that carries so much passion is the reason to get there.
