France has seen a recent spate of cryptocurrency-related kidnappings, and this appears to be the latest case: a 35-year-old magistrate from Grenoble and her 66-year-old mother were found tied up in a garage on Friday morning, 30 hours after being taken from their home. The younger victim’s partner is a crypto entrepreneur, and investigators believe the abduction may have been an attempt to blackmail him.
