New England Patriots
“You guys are back on the map as a place that the players want to be because they’re watching it, they’re seeing it.”

All-Pro edge rusher Maxx Crosby’s time with the Raiders might be coming to a close.
Appearing on “Yahoo Sports Daily” in San Francisco, FOX NFL insider Jay Glazer was candid when asked if Crosby’s ready to move on after spending his first seven seasons with the Raiders.
“I do,” Glazer said when asked if Crosby played his final game with Las Vegas.
If Crosby is looking for a change of scenery, a team like the Patriots could be an intriguing fit.
NFL insider Dianna Russini agreed with such sentiments on Wednesday during an appearance on 98.5 The Sports Hub’s “Zolak & Bertrand”.
“As for this upcoming off season, outside of just free agency, the thing that I’m going to be watching are these players that perhaps want trades,” Russini said. “That’s what I want to see. Maxx Crosby doesn’t seem too happy in Las Vegas. Is he going to ask for one officially and ask out? Is that a guy? I can tell you, I know he wants to play for Mike Vrabel. He’s told me before.”
Crosby, 28, would be a major addition to New England’s already imposing defense — regardless of what plays out in Super Bowl LX on Sunday night.
New England has the cap space to take on Crosby’s contract. He is signed through 2029 and features a $35.8 million cap hit next season. But it remains to be seen what the Patriots would have to give up to pry Crosby out of Las Vegas.
Crosby has been one of the best pass rushers in the NFL over the last few seasons, recording 69.5 sacks over 110 career games.
Even if New England and Las Vegas aren’t a match in a potential deal this offseason, Russini believes that the Patriots will be a premier destination moving forward — especially with Drake Maye in place at quarterback and Mike Vrabel at the helm of the program.
“If you’re a Patriots fan — here’s what you have to be excited about,” Russini said. “You often lose players in free agency because people don’t want to live in Boston, they don’t want to live up north. … But now, you guys are back on the map as a place that the players want to be because they’re watching it, they’re seeing it.
“Social media, as much as we mock it, I think helps the cause here, and they’re seeing the way these guys love each other, and it’s a family.”
