Porter Airlines recently announced a North American expansion that includes increased service between Boston and Canada in 2026.

  • These airlines are increasing flights between New England and the Bay Area for the Super Bowl

The Toronto-based carrier is adding two direct, high-frequency routes to Montréal and Toronto from Boston in May, connecting Bostonians to two additional Canadian airports.

Currently, Porter Airlines flies four direct, daily flights from Logan International Airport to Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and one direct, daily flight from Boston to Ottawa International Airport. Customers travel on a 78-seat De Havilland Dash 8-400 for both routes.

With the expansion, Porter will fly from Logan Airport to Montréal–Trudeau International Airport seven times a week on the De Havilland Dash 8-400 and to Toronto Pearson International Airport 14 times a week on the 132-seat Embraer E195-E2. Both routes begin on May 14.

“We are making a substantial increase in flights for Porter this summer, touching on every region we fly to,” said Andrew Pierce, vice president of network planning and reporting for Porter Airlines, in a statement. “Our overall network is growing by 20%, the fastest rate for any airline in North America, as we continue providing service for more passengers.”

There are no middle seats on Porter Airlines planes and customers receive premium snacks and complimentary wine and beer. Passengers also get free, fast WiFi on the airline’s Embraer E195-E2 planes.
