Tell Us

After this weekend’s storm, cones, chairs, and “dibs” signs are popping up across Boston streets. We want your take — and your photos.

As Boston digs out from the weekend’s storm, space savers are returning to streets across the city — and so is the surrounding debate.

To some, they’re a classic Boston tradition — an unwritten rule that says if you cleared it, you’ve earned it.

“Never, ever park in a spot someone else shoveled out,” Rich in Newton told us as an unwritten rule to living in Boston.

To others, they’re a recipe for conflict and a reminder that winter parking can bring out the worst in all of us. Reader David in the South End recently shared this photo with Boston.com on Tuesday of “nice friendly neighborhood cooperation” along Shawmut Avenue in the South End. Here’s the photo:

We want to know: Where do you stand on space savers? Are they fair game — or off limits? Vote in our poll below, and send us photos of your neighborhood’s space savers to [email protected].
