This ranch-style home in Scituate’s Oceanside neighborhood has a blue clapboard exterior that fits into New England — but an interior that suggests the West.

From the wide driveway in front of the house where there’s room to park four cars, there is a 111-square-foot covered porch on the right side of the home. Adding to the New England-style exterior are two dormers jutting from the roof.

The door introduces an open floor plan that combines the living and dining areas. The space serves to highlight a key feature of the home: wide plank pine flooring that creates an atmosphere to match the ranch style. All of the windows are framed by natural wood, the kitchen cabinets are blonde-toned wood, and the pantry is behind a sliding barn door.

There is a central fan/light fixture and a double closet with bifold doors. Flooring is the wide-planked pine.

The second bedroom is only slightly smaller at 153 square feet with a pair of double hung windows in the front wall along with a windowed dormer. The closet is in a nook in a corner of the bedroom. The flooring is also pine.
