New England Revolution
“Griffin has strong instinctive abilities on the attacking end that complement his speed and abilities with the ball.”

The Revolution continued an offseason trend, adding another younger player with experience under the team’s new head coach.
New England announced the addition of winger Griffin Yow on Tuesday from KVC Westerlo of the Belgian Pro League. He joins on a deal that runs through the 2027-28 season, and also includes club options over the two seasons after that.
Yow, 23, totaled 18 goals and 10 assists in 86 games playing for KVC Westerlo. A former D.C. United academy product, he signed with United in 2019 as a Homegrown Player and made 32 appearances for the club prior to leaving for Belgium in 2022.
More notably, he also has previous experience playing under the Revolution’s newly-hired head coach, Marko Mitrović. Yow was part of the United States squad at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, featuring in all four of the team’s games (and adding an assist). He’s also played for the U-17 national team, and made a pair of appearances at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
“I had the pleasure of coaching Griffin at the United States Olympic Team, where he quickly impressed me with his willingness to learn, his eagerness to develop, and his drive to win,” Mitrović said, per the Revolution’s announcement. “Griffin has strong instinctive abilities on the attacking end that complement his speed and abilities with the ball. I look forward to welcoming him to our team and working with him again.”
Beforehand — and in order to complete the signing by MLS rules — New England acquired Yow’s Discovery Priority from Vancouver Whitecaps FC in exchange for $125,000 in 2026 General Allocation Money, and the club’s 2027 MLS SuperDraft second-round pick.
He’s now the third player — after central midfielder Brooklyn Raines and defender Ethan Kohler — to be added to New England’s roster this offseason who has experience playing under Mitrović.
As for where Yow will fit into the lineup, that remains to be seen. It’s not yet clear what formation or style Mitrović will prefer, with the team’s first preseason friendly suggesting it could be a 4-3-3 (though that could simply change in the next game as the club experiments prior to the regular season opener in late February).
With Argentine winger Luca Langoni (who the Revolution signed for a club record fee in 2024) already on the roster, Yow could find minutes a challenging proposition. Should Langoni leave as part of Mitrović’s efforts to reshape the roster, the path might clear.
New England will kick off the 2026 MLS regular season on Feb. 21 on the road against Nashville SC at 8:30 p.m.
