Comfy, snug, and nearly waterfront are adjectives that apply to this bungalow in Halifax. It was built in 1930 but fully updated in 2022.

Steps from the shore of West Monponsett Pond — half of what is also known as the Twin Lakes — this home packs a lot into its small footprint. The West Monponsett Pond is 310 acres; the East is 273 acres. The ponds are bisected by Route 58.

A short walkway from the street leads to a front stoop, and behind a white front door is a home that one might divide into two sections. Directly ahead is an open floor plan — the largest portion of the home — comprised of the living and dining rooms and kitchen. Jutting off that rectangular space are the three bedrooms, the pantry, and the full bath.

The living room highlights the updates from the 2022 overhaul: recessed lights, wide-plank grey luxury vinyl plank flooring, and a ductless mini-split on the wall. This area also has three separate slider windows without muntins, ensuring the clearest possible views.

Off on the right is a 77-square-foot bedroom currently equipped with a futon and its own slider window. The closet is in the right corner of the room.

The one full bathroom completes the left side. It features a white vanity and sink with a circular mirror above and a decorative touch: a sliding barn door with black hardware. The two remaining bedrooms, like the first, are located on the right side of the home.

The second 77-square-foot bedroom is just past the dining area. It features a central light fixture, a closet deep in the space, and a sliding glass window.

The primary bedroom is the last room on the right. It’s 113 square feet, and has a pair of sliding windows on each of its exterior walls, accompanied by recessed lighting. Flooring is vinyl plank.
