Aaron Tucker, 49, is charged with assault and battery resulting in serious bodily injury, and assault and battery against 60+/disabled.
A man was arrested Saturday after a fight during a Bruins game at TD Garden that led to another man being hospitalized with a head injury, police said.
The man arrested, identified by police as Aaron Tucker, 49, is set to be arraigned at Boston Municipal Court Monday on charges of assault and battery resulting in serious bodily injury, and assault and battery against a 60+ or disabled victim, according to a Boston police report.
The incident allegedly came after the victim and Tucker began heckling each other throughout Saturday’s game between the Bruins and the New York Rangers. Eyewitnesses reccounted the victim shoving his middle finger directly in the face of a woman in relation to Tucker, police wrote in the report.
‘[A witness] stated that a disturbance ensued while the victim [redacted] was harassing other Rangers fans and appeared to be intoxicated,” the police report said.
As tensions grew, witnesses recalled that Tucker pushed the victim down multiple stairs, causing the victim to injure his head; Tucker allegedly then left the stadium, said the report.
The victim sustained an abrasion to the back of his head and was taken to Mass General Hospital for further evaluation, said police.
“While en route to Mass General Hospital, the victim told [law enforcement] and EMTs that he drank [redacted,] had no memory of this incident, and did not know why he was going to the hospital,” read the police report.
Tucker was apprehended and taken into custody without incident, and was later transported to Nashua Street Jail, the report read.
