The footage shows security forces firing shotguns and tear gas as they attempt to detain injured protesters. Earlier in the day, security forces opened fire on a protest in the nearby town of Arkavaz. The protests began in December 2025, driven by Iran’s economic crisis, and have spread nationwide. HRANA says at least 36 protesters have been killed so far.
