What is a save the date card?
The
Save-The-Date card is simply a way of
giving your guests a heads up about your
wedding day, letting them know in
advance that your getting married and
the date you have chosen, so that they
can make plans accordingly before they
receive the wedding invitation. They
are usually packed with wedding
information such as your colors, your
menu, even a couple of silly planning
anecdotes . They can be sparse and
simple. All you really need to include
in your letter is your wedding date, the
city and state you'll be married in, and
of course, your names.
We've
compiled a few samples for you below,
including formal and informal cards and
letters, as well as offbeat letters we
love, written by real brides and grooms.
