A friend told me
that if I print my own invitations off my printer and they get
touched or are near the slightest moisture they will run. Have
you ever heard of this happing?

Unfortunately, that is one of the
problems of using a computer to do your invitations. Ink jet
printers are worse than laser ones about running or smudging and
dark inks are worse than lighter ones. Another problem is that
the letters don't always look crisp and clear, depending on the
type of paper that you choose - the more fiber in the paper, the
greater the problem.
